Movcreator was founded by qian wu who transferred her major from design and engineering into fashion design after graduation with her bachelor’s degree. Instead of executing for other minds, she wants to make her own statement from her perspective to see women in this man-dominated perspective world--to encourage women with her athleisure aesthetics design.
The contrast of both feminine and masculine is always part of the inspiration of her design. For her, she thinks SEXINESS and FUNCTIONAL/ PRAGMATIC garments are ALWAYS UNDERESTIMATED! What she proposed to achieve in her collections is to see the sparks on the combination of these two contrasting elements together—elegant sexiness and masculine functionality. Then the whole concept was formed: redefining functional garments in a rebellious sexy and chic way.

Movement Creates

My initial inspiration is from the KT tape. It holds specific parts of the body muscle and preventing overstretch. (It is applied unstretched over manually stretched skin above the injured muscle. )
Inspiration from KT tape not only influenced physical theory but also became part of my design aesthetics. The beautiful covering on the skin in rather vivid colors such as royal blue later became one of my key color tones for this collection.
Collaboration from Physical Therapist Mr. Bernard leveraged this project to a new level. Fields outside of fashion always give me a new perspective and inspiration for designing. From Mr. Bernard, I got to know the facial system in our body which helps with our body movements--the superficial back line, lateral line, and spiral line, they help with different kinds of movements. Then I started to think if I can build a system bridge between body movements and garments.
