AKNVAS
AKNVAS, [pronounced ah-can-vas] is an advanced contemporary women’s and menswear brand founded by Danish designer Christian Juul Nielsen in 2019.
The collection focuses on thoughtful, well-designed, and innovative pieces for discerning and dynamic women and men. Striped shirtings are important, but so are nylons and cashmere.
Focus on silhouette, drape, structure, innovative knits and an elevated color palette.
The designer has cut his teeth at Dior, Christian Lacroix, J.Mendel, Land of Distraction, Nina Ricci, and Oscar de la Renta. Currently, Nielsen is the creative director of both Hervé Léger and his first independent line, AKNVAS. The name, which means ‘canvas’, represents a new chapter for the designer. A bright, new base to start again.
