AKNVAS MEN F21
Another world.
He borrows hers - she borrows his - a world where we can worry less about who should be wearing what, but more about what feels right.
The fall winter 2021 AKNVAS collection is created from a lens, which is looking at a world, in which we are all seeking comfort and safety. Creative Director Christian Juul Nielsen’s inspiration journey took him to revisit his roots while living in Paris and Copenhagen. The results are couture-inspired corset details, mixed with comfortable oversized sweatshirts, and square shapes of LEGO-inspired geometric patterns and zig zags.
We are in a world where everything is becoming more and more contrasted, so the idea of playing with silhouettes and shapes is fascinating. Body conscious ribbed dresses placed against oversized coats is a respite from daily life in a world of lockdown and social distancing.
We wish for couture but have an ethereal need for comfort.
The collection features an extended knitwear collection, including: body conscious strappy tops, nylon ribbon knitted sweaters, oversized cropped woolen cable knit sweaters and tight little neon pink cashmere tops.
Keywords for the collection include: unisex silhouettes mixed with super masculine and ultra feminine detailing, drawstrings, corsets, Japanese nylons, pajamas stripes and covered buttons.
