FALL / WINTER 2022
Bibhu Mohapatra was moved and intrigued by the historic female lead of the renowned opera “ Elektra," the newest performance announced to debut at The Kennedy Center in September of 2022, for which Mohapatra was asked to concept and design costumes.
Inspired by the study of the two powerful heroines of opera, Salome and Elektra that explored the spectrum of so many aspects of loss, courage, resilience, experience and strength, the fall 22 collection represents the indomitable Bibhu Mohapatra woman, her drive to change, to the point of revolution in defiance of the status quo.
