For her Fall Winter 2022 collection, Condor, Carolina Kleinman pays tribute to her mother – and her spirit – by going back to her native roots, designing around her love for Argentina and its rich sartorial heritage. From gaucho pants featuring tapered legs and a pleated high-rise waist, to frilled blouses and dresses with hand embroidery and appliqué, the Argentinian gaucho style is reinterpreted in a contemporary way for the modern, free-spirited woman.

Carolina's desire to revive the memorable period surrounding the early stages of the brand when she visited the small town of Tilcara in northern Argentina to develop her first knitted collection, lead her to collaborate with artists that share the same background and passion for the South American countryside. The spiritual prints and hand-painted Cerro de Los Siete Colores were designed alongside Delfina Mun – a multidisciplinary artist and musician – to pay homage to the indigenous heritage that dates back to the 10th century through her sacred art and music. Large felt hats accessorized with handmade golden pins and leather chin straps were also designed with a fellow Argentinian designer.

Vibrant knitted ponchos, signature of the brand's early days, three-piece suits, and long dresses with ruffled detailing, bring together the two lifestyles as dissimilar as they are complementary. More classic styles are present and combined with symbols like the Sun and the Moon. The Sun symbolizes the supreme cosmic power – the life-force that enables all things to thrive and grow. In some cultures, the Sun is the Universal Father. Correspondingly, the Moon symbolizes death, birth and resurrection.

Strength, intelligence, and wisdom then emerge through the hand-drawn Isla print featuring the Andean condor, a bird considered sacred to the Incas who believed it communicated the upper world with the earthly world. Key sustainable and noble materials for the season include sustainable viscose, hemp, organic cotton, baby alpaca, cupro, and ecocean.
