Inspired by Georgia O'Keefe and the Eames, the first collection (Reunion) focused on a return to the essentials - a chore jacket, work pant, apron, and tank.

The second collection (Resilience) is a layered expansion of this thought, motivated by the idea that clothing is personal and protective. Many of the new silhouettes are sentimental in nature, influenced by the surgical greens that designer Maria Dora's parents would wear in their medical practice.

The new silhouettes are references to the surgical greens that Maria Dora's parents regularly wore when she was growing up. These pieces were personal protective clothing, and she deeply associated her parents with this attire.

Between our changed world and the fact that Maria has not seen her folks in over a year, these austere utilitarian garments were vividly on her mind these past few months. Discussing with her mom, Maria realized her parents wore different kinds of lab coats. She wanted to recreate the pieces in a thoughtful and enduring way that represented the versatility of the different lab coats and work wear. The result is a wardrobe of minimal essentials that can be layered with one another or worn alone.

All leather, fabrics, and yarns are sourced from excess inventory in Los Angeles, in a ten mile radius from where the pieces are developed and produced. Our knitwear is produced in Brooklyn, using yarn made in Philadelphia.
