SERIES 03 | COLLISION
Series 03 of JKEEFER looks to continunity as a key vein of the collection, inspired by the
work of John Chamberlain
The controlled chaos and beauty of Chamberlain’s sculptures have always resonated with
Keefer. The twisted metals, wrapped and smashed into each other has the echos of the
mosh pit of punk and hardcore shows of his formative years. It is in this sense of controlled
chaos where the true connection occurs, the shapes’ form becoming more than their original, becoming sharpened and poetic.
JKEEFER Series 03 Collision finds the collection embracing the texture and graphic nature of Chamberlain’s work, best shown in the speckle recycled wool/silk twill, or the recycled wool/polyester grosgrain, or the twisted rib knit in alpaca.
Old world techniques applied in a modern context are the cornerstone of JKEEFER which
continues in COLLISION. With an emphasis on detailed tailoring, Series 03 builds and
challenges the traditional concept of a reductive wardrobe and presents a collection of
garments reinvented using luxurious fabrics and colors. Series 03 sees an introduction of
graphic printed garments, along with new denim fits and washes. The garments shown in
Series 03 | COLLISION are created in southern Italy in refined color palate of concrete,
natural, blacks, fiberglass, and cor-ten.
Series 03 COLLISION builds on the brand values of uniformity, function and discipline.
