Ju Ju Win was so excited about her senior thesis when pandemic hit. She couldn’t get it out of her head. As a germaphobe, it was so hard for her to even get out of the house, and she struggled to focus on her senior thesis. She decided to embrace it and centered her collection around it. Ju Ju creates big shapes to encourage social distancing. Uses wooden sticks to hold the shapes of these large silhouettes. And looks into fear and what causes it. She learned that humans and animals have a natural fear of poisonous animals. The aposematism of poisonous frogs was the inspiration behind the textile design. With the help of a textile designer they elaborated these prints.

Ju Ju Win wanted to shoot in the most crowded place in San Francisco. The whole point of this shoot is the get the reaction of people and show the structure of the shapes keeps people away. And because of COVID-19, doing a fashion show was not possible so doing this felt like a show for the people on the street.
