The JULIA JENTZSCH FW2021 collection with the title “Magical” is inspired by the ideas of rebuilding a sacred relationship with nature, rethinking the design process, reconnecting with local artisans and redefining modern luxury. Center stage takes the knitting and weaving of repurposed natural fabrics. The company’s signature tailoring and sharp shirts are contrasted by tribal garments, some with woven textures others with embroidered bias tapes. Earth bound colors are mixed with strong royal blues and undyed greige cottons which are present in different weights. Hand knitting of balaclavas, hats, shawls, bibs and a double face poncho allow layering to prepare for fast weather changes. The feeling is of protecting from the elements and embracing them at the same time. Nature feeds our souls. It is the ultimate luxury.
