ABOUT THE COLLECTION:
"Visuals, smells, sounds and ideas. It makes you smile and alive. Nothing can hurt you, it’s a place where memories come alive, it stays with you forever."
‘There’s no place like home’ is the name of KA WA KEY SS21 collection, which is
inspired by the designers' memories of their homes, homes in Hong Kong, Finland and London. Delicious food and sunset hitting the skyscrapers of Hong Kong, Nightless midsummer nights and old forests of Finland, the wonky houses and diverse streets of Dalston London. COVID-19 pandemic reformed what home means, the word home has so many “new” meanings.

ABOUT THE SHORT FILM:
The film is a collective project, created by film maker Fabrizio Eramo for KA WA KEY, and is loosely based on the concept of ‘no place like home,’ explores a young man’s journey into his subconscious. Through a tactile relationship with the clothing that adorns his bedroom walls, he is able to undergo an ethereal, dreamy experience. However, what at first appears to be a pleasant invitation amongst graceful beings soon becomes a chilling and terrifying nightmare.

THREE SUITCASES FILMS:
Fabrizio Eramo is an Italian Director, Writer and Editor for Three Suitcases Films. He has studied acting at RADA and is a recent graduate of King’s College London, with a Bachelor of Honours in Film. Fabrizio has recently begun post-production on his short film, Crossways, shot entirely on Super 8. He is currently in pre-production for his next short film.

Josh Forrest is a recent graduate of King’s College London, whose primary interests lie within documentary filmmaking and photography. He has worked on several projects in a variety of roles; from camera operator to sound editor and on-set photographer. He is currently in pre-production of a new project with Three Suitcases Films.

Joe Deering is a recent graduate from King’s College London. He has worked as a script editor for several companies, as well as having worked as an editor on a number of projects with Three Suitcases Films.

Rosie Lloyd-Reed is an Art Director and Set Manager for Three Suitcases Films, having previously worked as a Curator of fine art in a London gallery.

Riccardo Dal Piaz is a recent film graduate and has worked on many student and independent productions. His roles span from scriptwriter to gaffer. His main interests lie in science fiction and horror genres.

TALENTS:
Jack Beaumont trained at Arts Educational Sixth Form and is a dancer on the BalletBoyz Dancer’s Course. Jack has worked with Nick Knight using dance for a shoot with Fredrik Tjaerandsen for his incredible creations called ‘Torus’ which he described as ‘an elating and exciting experience’.

James Pett graduated at the Laban Dance Centre with a first-class degree and was awarded the prestigious Marion North Award for outstanding performer. James danced two years with Richard Alston Dance Company & Company Wayne McGregor for six years.

Lee Jay Hoy is Professional Dancer, Model, Actor and Movement Director. After graduating from Ballet school Lee joined the West end cast of Billy Elliot the musical playing the role as ‘Older Billy Elliot’ and later Strictly Ballroom the musical (UK tour),

Travis Clausen-Knight danced for Matthew Bourne’s world tour of Swan Lake and featuring in the 3D film of the production. Travis has worked with several renowned companies such as Michael Clark, in the TH residency at Tate Modern, Tavaziva Dance and preforming with A.D. Dance and Combination Dance. He eventually joined Studio Wayne McGregor for six years.

Max Gershon was previously a guest resident artist at Tate Modern. Choreographed on behalf of UUstudios in London such as ‘Robe’ and ‘wear’. Performing with fashion house Burberry in ‘Tempest’. Movement Artist for JC Candanedo’s “Motion Pictures” with Vogue Italia.

Aaron Baksh is a multi-disciplinary dance artist, choreographer and part time teacher. Studied dance at The Brit School of Performing Arts & Technology and at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance in Contemporary Dance.

Moses Ward is London based dancer.
