The Spring/Summer 2022 collection, Je Ne Sais Quoi, was designed to capture the moments that are so special that they leave us speechless. These are the ones that truly captivate us, stir our passions, and leave a lasting mark on our souls.
Oh, what a gorgeous contradiction it is when the lack of words says more than a 1,000 spoken. It is the stuff of passionate, epic love stories. It is that special quality that’s too overwhelming, too ephemeral for words. It is that unshakable feeling that cannot be adequately expressed. Fashion has inspired this for centuries—astonishing and elating us. That’s why this season, we honor fashion’s role in making us experience breathtaking moments in our lives.
As is characteristic of Maria Elena designs, the new pieces remain decadent and glamorous and are entirely hand-crafted in Miami, FL by expert artisans who first solder the metal bases and then hand-place distinct combinations of exquisite components. These design mix ultra-precise, man-made crystals, crystal rocks and crystal fabric, and synthetic pearls of the finest quality as well as smoked crystals, mother of pearls and fresh water pearls.

The Bonnie gold bridal headpiece features an intricate mix of painted flowers, mother of pearls, and mix of ultra-precise clear, white opal, and vintage rose-colored, man-made glass crystals of the finest quality. Plated in our Antique Gold color, Bonnie also combines top-of-the-line navet, cabochon, and round synthetic pearls with off-white seed bead flowers, and clear mand-made crystal rocks for a charming and spellbinding look. This wedding headpiece can be worn as a halo with the detail in the back over a low bun or as a headband with the intricate details over the top of the head.
