Motherland Drip
Motherland Drip is my personal love note to the African American Culture. We are colorful, bold, creative people that are filled with style and grace. It is in our swag, in our hair, and in our blood. For this collection, I wanted to celebrate us, celebrate our history as a people.

The Development of the Custom Prints
In designing Motherland Drip, I created my own prints to convey a radiant aura. The colors red, yellow, blue and white (meaning energetic, joy, confidence, and hope respectfully) became the foundation that allowed the depictions of African tribal hairstyles and scarification to shine through. All fabrics were printed sustainably with Contrado Imagining.
