Shiqi Xu
Shiqi Xu is a designer, originally from China, who currently enrolled in BFA Fashion Design program at Parsons school of Design. She has experiences of living and studying overseas in different places and countries. She studied abroad in the knitwear short term program at Central Saint Martins in London.She has experience of working in Dior Haute Couture event, and Celine retail shop.
She likes using personal stories as her inspirations, which helps her to express emotions and identify herself. She values the tradition and culture of her background in China. She likes to experiment with new materials and traditional techniques and convert them into design. She is aiming to illustrate the fragile but persistent image of oriental women through romantic methods.
