Road to Jaipur (The Pink City)
Have inspiration, will travel! With a nod to Jackie Kennedy’s noted 1960’s visit, this season we embrace the enchanting city of Jaipur. As famous for its pink sandstone buildings as it is for the ancient art of block printing, The Pink City is alive with brilliant colors, venerable patterns, and a spirited balance of modern life and time-honored tradition.
This fall, colors like Bengal Blue, Pink Peppercorn, and Sumac – and signature prints like Indian Tile, Arches, and Paisley Flower – conjure up the liveliness of the city. Medallion prints and madras play their vivid parts. From rainbow stripes and bright ombré to lush printed florals and voluminous silhouettes, Jaipur’s optimistic energy can only be contagious.
