Zero + Maria Cornejo Resort Capsule 2022
We’ll all be itching to travel by the time the holidays come around so these are the playful pieces we need to take with us on vacation or to layer up against a New York winter.
A vibrant cotton print is inspired by textile artist Magda Sayeg and her one-of-a-kind hand- crocheted spheres.
Oversized separates – some reversible – in the softest Brushed Terry in Coral, Camel, Ivory Melange or Black are the solution to a chilly plane ride.
For the first time, we’ve added Stretch to our organic cotton Eco Denim for some more body conscious styles and the cacao colorway is created using fully traceable biosynthetic dyes.
There is an oversized sweater and a gilet made of pre-consumer recycled cashmere; and organic cotton knits handmade in Bolivia – simple but feminine with ruffled and patchworked details. Each piece is individually signed by the artisan who made it.
With a continued focus on responsible design, sustainable textiles are used when possible and fabrics are predominantly washable.
As always, we are proud to be certified MADE IN NEW YORK and to support our local economy with 70% of this collection produced in New York City. The collection is shipped to retail partners in eco-friendly, 100% compostable TIPA packaging.
All patterns and textiles are designed exclusively by Zero + Maria Cornejo.
About Magda Sayeg: Considered the founder of Guerrilla Knitting, Magda’s 11-year body of work includes the widely recognized knitted covered bus in Mexico City as well as her first solo exhibit in Rome at La Museo des Esposizione. In the past, Zero + Maria Cornejo collaborated with Magda to design limited- edition sweatshirts and tote bag, and the collectible, one-of-a-kind hand-crocheted spheres are available at the Bleecker Street store.
