What would it be like after the era of humans? What is left of us, our mark on Earth? For this collection, I manifest a world where the anthropocene no longer contains humans, yet the traces of human activity remain. My lens will examine the socioeconomic, biological, and technological developments that define the relationship between human society and nature. The collection will explore human driven alterations of the earth and the psyche behind our dominance over nature. Artificial nature is conveyed through organic silhouettes of soft knits and boned structures, wooly texture with mechanical patterns and padded forms derived from mutation. When the remnants of human existence are turned into a wearable, will this become an immersive experience of anxiety?

01 Flower Lungs manifests a future where humans rely on plants to breathe and survive. It depicts a rather submissive and symbiotic relationship to nature.

Artificial Systems, in other words, explores our methods of geo-engineering to reverse our impact on Earth. Artificial Systems is a construct that we utilize, a power dynamic between human and nature.

Butterfly Effect is a look that plays on the metaphor how a flap of a butterfly wings can create a tornado. I want to tie the relationship of our everyday lifestyle and actions to flaps of butterfly wings, hence, the Butterfly Effect.

Virtue Theory in this context is how vulnerable one is susceptible to temptations that contribute to our dominance over nature. Thinking about consumption and greediness, this looks portray a complex structure to the idea.

Fish Filled with Plastic is about the phenomena of human actions to mutate and transform ourselves. When our plastic litters starts appearing in the body of fish, then consumed by us, our DNA starts to change consequently.

Molting Shell is Structural Coat with Shibori Dye Technique and 3D Printed Materiality Collar. The design for the coat derives from development of insect mutation, insects being sensitive creatures that change when their environments change, the soldiers of nature.
