As we have been working on the many aspects of this event for months, we all looked forward to the live experience we have all missed for the last year and a half. We all were excited.
No one realizes that we at Anthony Rubio Designs, had chosen that to make things work during the pandemic we would have to devise an alternative to these live shows. She made the decision, taking into consideration how much work and responsibilities we were taking on. We decided to self produce and go virtual and it was no easy task.
Yes it was such an undertaking but in the end all so worth it.
When restrictions were lifted and going live was admitted everyone was hyped about going back to what we all knew but the reality is that we will neer go back. We have had to learn that we must tweak things a bit and that new rules and guidelines had to be implemented to accommodate what we all want only safety and other restrictions had to be put into place.
That said, audiences are smaller, distance is imperative between folks and of course cleanliness is close to Godliness.
Basically things had to be redesigned and we did just that. Health restrictions are adhered to and all in attendance made the best intotal appreciation of what we have and can do as opposed to lamenting over what we can't. It's called "ADJUSTMENT".
The event was wonderful. Attendance was high and there was food, drinks and an incredible raffle situation and of course the much anticipated Fashion Show.
All culminated with a magnificent desert set up which just ended it all on a sweet note.
A Huge Thanks goes out to all who made this happen, to my models both human and canine. A shout out to those who traveled to get here. An extra special thank you to the hair team and makeup people. We did have a few glitches but in a community where all pitch in all was made great.
It is the 75th Anniversary of the Guide Dog Foundation. Imagine....75 years of providing trained dogs to those in need at no charge to them. 75 years of changing lives for the oh so much better. 75 years of caring and working harder than many even know at achieving such a goal. It is both admirable and commendable.
I love, give praise and wish blessings to all who support and fund this noble cause.
