The Revolution Is Live
Bobbi Colburn's collection titled: The Revolution Is Live pays homage to Black revolution - to the revolutionaries that marched and organized before us - many of whom still face political persecution by the United States government - and it centers the movement of the present while looking to the past for guidance as our reality blends. Each look is representative of a different revolutionary. Symbolism through silhouette, trims, and iconography communicate their stories. These serve as uniforms for Black activists, signifying our strength in consciousness.
