Since launching “Bridget Parris Couturier” in Spring/Summer 19, Parris’ work has appeared in Vogue and WWD. A favorite of celebrities for Galas and Red Carpet Events, Collection pieces have been created for Custom Clients and Boutiques. Bridget Parris Couturier has designed and created Couture Costumes in original choreography and collaborations with Artistic Directors and Principal Dancers from NYCB, Martha Graham Dance Company and NJBallet. Commissioned by Artistic Director Maria Kowroski of NJBallet to create her "Carabosse" Couture Costume and Head-dress for the company's "Sleeping Beauty" Production, the project was realized with a gift from Swarovski. Made to Order in NYC, with a focus on Couture Garment Construction and Custom Pattern-making and Fittings this boutique collection is responsibly and thoughtfully produced. Bridget Parris received her Fashion Design degree from Parson’s School of Fashion, where she focused on Couture Studies. After graduating from Parson's she completed a long-term internship in the Couture Atelier at Marchesa where she was mentored in all facets of designing and creating high-fashion Eveningwear and Bridal Collections.
After gaining experience in designing for Luxury RTW Collections she returned to Marchesa as the Head of the Atelier in 2016-17. Her role in realizing the Designers’ vision focused on serving as a liason between the designers, creative patternmakers and the Atelier to produce one-of-a-kind Runway pieces and Custom Client Orders, directing Backstage Dressers and interfacing with Stylists for Runway Shows and Collection Presentations. As the Brand's Head Pattern-maker and Creative Draper, Parris began her collection entitled "Bridget Parris Couturier," inspired by her background in Decorative Arts and Fine Arts history.

Thoughtfulness in Design
An approach to Design that is focused on thoughtfulness towards materials and the environment, Bridget Parris Couturier's Collections are Made to Order in NYC. In this way, we hold no stock in product or in fabric, and have very little waste in materials. We leave a very low carbon footprint by limiting shipping and transit of finished garments. Our fabrics are focused on silks for self and linings, whose natural fibers are bio-degradable. We offer Custom pattern-making and fittings to our clients, both direct and through stores. By creating pieces in a Couture Atelier fashion, it is our hope that each gown, dress, and creative garment will become a future heirloom, remaining in families for generations, collected into Museums and forever loved. Our FW2021 Collection entitled "Valentines" expresses our love for our work and the art of making.
