CHANGEANTE

CHANGEANTE (french: variable, changeable) is inspired by the minimalist-conceptual ideas of formalism and the Bauhaus Movement, which became one of the most influential currents in modern design, art, and architecture. With its “form follows function” principles, it explores not only the idea of minimalism but also a multi versatile approach: a space of associations for emotional atmospheres that adapts to moods, circumstances, and diverse occasions as appropriate. The creations revolve around freedom and expression for strong and sophisticated women who love to explore their personality and individuality.

The design vocabulary employs a classic, timeless aesthetic, leaning towards functionalism and forgoing all superfluous details: superficially clean with subtle sophistication. Minimalism is simple yet highly complex. The fundamental principle is to leave only the essential parts. Here, maximum impact is achieved with a minimum of materials and components.

Most of the collection pieces can be transformed into a handbag, belt bag, cross-body bag, clutch, shoulder bag, wristlet, tote bag, or backpack. What´s more, combining two bag sizes and multiple options for attaching chains enables more than fifteen different style versions and is therefore suitable for casual and business looks and even glamorous occasions.

The high-quality leather bags are created with love, passion, and meticulous attention to detail, entirely handmade by third-generation artisans in Germany and Italy. Their long history as luxury handbag manufacturers and their artisanal skills are exceptional.

The company founder, Gabriela Rupprecht, first pursued a classic, international career in the healthcare industry. Following her recent position as Marketing Director and armed with a Master’s in Business Administration, she dedicated herself to her grand and long-cherished dream of building her own business while simultaneously incorporating her passion for modern architecture and design.

She was inspired by the influence of the Bauhaus style and its focus on functionality paired with aesthetics. The implementation should also meet demands for the highest quality and respect for nature.
“I wanted to create timeless classic designer pieces, superficially clear and minimalist with a subtle sophistication that is only evident at second glance. This was possible with the help of an excellent team. Only when creativity, expertise, and passion work together can such things arise.”

Environmental protection

Brands should take the lead in solving environmental issues. It is their responsibility to check the consequences of their actions and protect ecological resources and the lives of people working for them. For us, it is crucial to know where the materials come from and where and how they are sourced and manufactured. We are solely collaborating with partners, primarily in Germany and Italy, who share the same ethical values.
