DISTANCED INTIMACY
Jiaqi Shen’s thesis collection “Distanced Intimacy” explores the capricious nature of intimacy through the tension between the layering of sheer textile and structural boning. The collection incarnates a state of “forming” to mimic the paradoxical intricacy laid within modern relationships. Her design language explores the space between figuration and abstraction, where an inviting yet detached energy oozes.
