ARTIFICIAL EARTH
Artificial Earth is a return to our roots. It is an exploration of pulling the outdoors into the indoors by applying technical details to something of the ordinary. It’s where form meets function but where function was never actually necessary. It’s a satire inspired by the Earth.
The textures and palette mimic the growth of moss amongst a dense Pacific Northwest Forest. The details and trims are artificial representations of plant anatomy — from soft petals to poisonous thorns. This season we leaned into technical fabrications from nylons and polar fleece, to quilted workwear. We explored new variations of our favorite Jupiter Dye and introduced new Natural dyes to a lightweight Nylon Weather-Cloth. The collection is engineered to be mixed, layered, and stacked like an ecosystem of its own.
