The inspiration for Fall 21 started with an exploration of modern armor, as well as the movie Blade Runner. With the undertones of Richard Avedon and Irving Penn, specifically, old haute couture photographs from the 1950's showing the quintessential society woman. In 2021, we wanted to flip this idea and show the modern LaQuan Smith woman living in these glamorous and old world spaces---with a futuristic and sexy spin.
