Maia Rivera
Maia Rivera is a recent graduate from Drexel University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design. She was raised and is currently based in New York. Maia recognizes fashion as a form of art and expression that can have a strong impact on an individual and ultimately on the world. She designs through a unique lens, greatly inspired by her own observations of humans and how they interact with one another, incorporating those observations into her designs to then evoke a new human reaction. Through her design process she experiments to find new techniques while also utilizing classic techniques by both hand and machine. Fashion design has served as a way for her to express herself and have a voice, in hopes her designs expand the way we view one another and ourselves.
