Markarian Resort 2024
Markarian’s Resort 2024 collection is inspired by the Slim Aarons’ photograph, "Poolside Gossip", of an outdoor gathering at a Richard Neutra designed home. It made me think of the fashion scene of Palm Springs in the 1960s and 70’s. Drawing inspiration from the era's resort wear, this collection effortlessly merges retro elements with contemporary silhouettes. The color palette takes cues from the natural beauty of Palm Springs, with sage green crocheted laces and yellow and gold metallic chiffons. Crystal embellished fan bust details, featured on a structured wool crepe suit, lend an air of opulence. The collection is rounded out with red rose floral satin prints, imbuing a sense of romance that is true to Markarian’s essence.
