About the Designer

Tommy Bogo is a designer from Oakland, CA, currently residing in Los Angeles. Growing up in Oakland, Bogo was influenced by the culture of self-starting artists in the Bay Area. In his high school years, Bogo printed his own t-shirts and sold them out of his locker. He hosted numerous pop ups that doubled as a stage for up-and-coming artists to perform. Artists such as Guapdad 4000 and Larry June performed at Tombogo popups before they became as notable as they are today. Hosting popups intertwined Bogo with the creative community of the Bay Area, and solidified Tombogo as a recognized brand in the region. Bogo’s vision for Tombogo however was much bigger than just the Bay Area. His passion for design continued to grow after a trip to Japan. There he saw people valuing the creations they were making. Approaching their work with functionality, sustainability, and top-notch quality. Witnessing this had an impression on Bogo and inspired the brand to change its tone. Bogo’s curiosity and exploration did not stop there, he eventually set his sights on New York. Immediately after moving there in 2019, he held a packed out presentation during New York Fashion Week. That moment was a formative point and served as a springboard for the brand. Now back on the West Coast, he’s recently moved his studio to Los Angeles, California. TOMBOGO™’s products have expanded into intricate and technical apparel with a range of t-shirts, hoodies, trousers, hats, sunglasses, and bags. As a direct to consumer brand all pieces are available on a newly designed e-commerce website at www.tombogo.com.
