Inspired by mother nature’s constant strive for equilibrium, Balance celebrates the beauty in juxtaposing textiles and surprising harmony in opposing forces. Designer Kate Halfpenny draws on her own experience striving for balance in her personal and work lives and explores how that very imbalance creates unexpected, and exquisite, consequences and opportunities. These new dresses and separates embody her experience, with unexpected detail and exaggerated accessories. Sleek lines are interrupted by organza frills bursting from a seam like the crest of a wave, or cascade to the floor like water gently caressing the shore.

With this new collection, Kate invites brides-to-be to revel in the joy of the unexpected and play with these new pieces to find their own, unique Balance.

Ruched organza frills circle the arm to create a striking silhouette. Wear one pair, or stack them for even more drama.

Multiple silk organza strips are delicately gathered into an oversized frill for this statement hair accessory.

A playful tutu perches on top of a magical full skirt, given the ultimate volume with layers and layers of tulle. Style it with a corset or base dress from the collection for a very modern twist on a traditional shape, or layer accessories for a statement look.

We had developed the clever foundation for this jacket in a previous collection and it was the perfect base upon which to build the delicious Virgo shrug. Decadent silk organza is gathered and strategically placed to create these frothy frills, like the crest of a wave. Style this with a simple dress for a playful look, or with a full skirt for extra drama.

The most delicate, barely-there tulle is juxtaposed with a stiff organza ruffle decoration on these beautiful gloves. Style them with any of our base dresses or minis for the ultimate city wedding look, or layer with more dramatic pieces to make a statement on your big day.

Decorative straps with delicate felt spheres linked by thread. An optional, unique addition to any of our strapless gowns or tops.

Organza strips are delicately ruched, then rolled into graphic shells, giving the Periwinkle veil its voluminous, airy trim. An extra long tulle train is secured to the upper arm with satin bands and brides can choose to wear this piece over the face, or in a double drape at the back.

Secured to an incredible power mesh foundation, voluminous taffeta cascades from the neckline like a waterfall. This statement dress can be worn parachute style, or nipped in at the waist with a belt. Also shown here with the Magnetic

A slouchy mikado pouch is covered in silk organza frills to create this wonderful puff-ball bag, perfect for holding all your essentials on your big day.

A long tulle veil is secured with a silk organza bow for an ultra feminine look.

Decadent silk crêpe is delicately draped across an ultra-flattering, yet comfortable corseted foundation. The fabric seamlessly flows into long ties which skim the upper arm for an elegant off-the-shoulder look.

Silk organza is delicately gathered into a bow for this statement hair accessory.

The nipped-in waist and huge skirt silhouette was one I’d draw over and over as a child and it appears in many of my collections, albeit in new and modern forms. Meters of silk organza burst from the waist of the Libra skirt to create this dramatic shape. An exaggerated frilled hem and contrasting waistband make this a fresh take on a classic silhouette.

In contrast to the elegant nigh-neck and long sleeves, duchess satin flows down the back of the Earle top into a low cowl drape, revealing the optional Earle back insert. The Earle back insert is embellished with a cluster of Halfpenny London’s signature silk organza flowers. The flowers are crafted using couture techniques using off cuts of fabric from other pieces in the collection.

An ultra-flattering, yet comfortable foundation is delicately draped in Duchess satin to create this beautiful off-the-shoulder corset. Wear it with the matching Duchess Ellie skirt, or combine different fabrics to suit your own unique style.

The clean lines of the Equinox dress pool into a beautiful train, showcasing this crêpe back satin fabric and exaggerating the flattering fit-and-flare silhouette. Wear the Equinox on its own for an elegant look, or style with other pieces within the collection.

The Maisie mini dress is crafted with liquid-like crêpe back satin which is gathered at the waist in a faux wrap and draped at the bust for a flattering look. Adjustable straps ensure a perfect fit.

Our best-selling Ellie skirt reimagined in a luxurious Duchess Satin fabric. A full circle cut makes this skirt drape beautifully on the body, while clever construction means the train retains its volume when in motion.

Stretch Duchess hugs in all the right places, giving the Lagoon dress its wonderful shape. Slim straps, a soft scoop neck and puddle train make this a versatile piece, perfect for layering with other pieces from the collection.

A simple, square-neck cami allows the textured skirt of the micro-mini Roxy dress to take center stage. Full of natural volume, silk organza is arranged in a graphic rose pattern giving the Roxy a fashion-forward edge.

An extra long tulle train is secured to the upper arm with satin bands and brides can choose to wear this piece over the face, or flowing down their back.
