‘Press Play’ is inspired by the joy of playing games—cards, hopscotch, scrabble, ludo, mancala, dominos. With my immediate and extended family we always played cards when we all got together. So now, those games connect me to my inner child, my true self.
The Fall-Winter 2022 collection fuses that nostalgia and playfulness with other elements of my heritage, and the textile techniques and embellishments I’ve been focusing on with abacaxi.
