Wise Words
For Spring-Summer 2023 I felt inspired by a set of untranslatable words from different languages. I found the meanings of many of these words to be connected to profound emotions and transformative moments in life - these intense feelings that give us a glimpse at our true consciousnessness. Touches of these word references are woven into the line, sometimes literally.
Further inspiration is taken from 90’s and Y2K memories, 90's Bollywood, and nods to my favorite outfits from high school and adolescence that still always speak to me.
