F/W22 MARCHESA BRIDAL
The F/W22 Marchesa Bridal Couture Collection is inspired by the John Singer Sargent painting “Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose”, 1986-5. It’s a beautiful late summer portrait of children playing amongst flowers and glowing paper lanterns in an enchanted English garden. Gorgeous blooms in fading sunlight evokes a warm atmosphere, embracing the coming of autumn and the changing of colors in twilight.
Soft ombré tones are seen in draped tulle, with a back detail revealing feather lilies, strung together by artisans, and hand painted with Sargents brushstrokes as inspiration. 3D textured organza petals and flowers scattered all over a flowing a-line gown, intertwines with a delicate thread-work embroidery in colors ranging from a light rosy blush to ivory. A crisp and romantically grecian gown in silk chiffon is adorned with a corsage of roses on one shoulder. The collection is dreamy, light, sculptural, ultra-feminine and romantic, with the Marchesa bride in focus.
