PH5 Spring Summer 2021
The PH5 Spring 2021 collection is both a new chapter for PH5 and its new Designer Zoe Champion, who's originally from Sydney, and an ode to the rebirth of Australia following the bush fires of 2019.
With everything happening in the world, this season for fashion week we looked to share our platform with a group of Indigenous Australian women working with Firesticks Alliance. Their aim is to protect, conserve and enhance cultural and natural values of people and Country through cultural fire and land management practices.
We documented this project on the Awabakal land. In the spirit of reconciliation PH5 acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connection to land, sea and community. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
We hope their message of respect for land and Country resonates across the world as we search for ways to combat the effects of climate change. Our hearts are with those on the front lines of the California, Oregon and Washington wildfires.

The Women of the Firesticks Alliance
We decided to dedicate our platform to a special group of indigenous women from the Firesticks Alliance who educate communities and train individuals about the heritage practices of cultural burning. Their aim is to protect, conserve and enhance cultural and natural values of people and Country through cultural fire and land management practices. We connected with six incredible women for a smoking ceremony on the Awabakal land -- watch our video to learn more and please visit: https://www.firesticks.org.au/about/ In the spirit of reconciliation PH5 acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connection to land, sea and community. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
